Peppermint is an action thriller which tells the story of young mother Riley North (Jennifer Garner) who awakens from a coma after her husband and daughter are killed in a brutal attack on the family. When the system frustratingly shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerilla. Channeling her frustration into personal motivation, she spends years in hiding honing her mind, body and spirit to become an unstoppable force – eluding the underworld, the LAPD and the FBI- as she methodically delivers her personal brand of justice.

  • Vigilante justice story exceeded my expectations

Another vigilante/revenge movie were the main character seeks justice outside a system that failed them. Peppermint exceeded my expectations and I was plesantly surprised. I liked that the story line was quit original (besides the basic vigilante/justice plot). The lead actess did a great job. Her character's abilities were written to still be realistic in-that it was not a story of some skinny beauty with no background, all of a sudden can easily beat up 200lb solders. I liked that instead, the story showed a character that built her fighting skills but was still human and able to be hurt. A good action movie.
  • Lots of action

I think sometimes there is too much talking in these revenge movies. The point is to kill all of your enemies, not be besties with them. Riley North lets her guns do all of the talking.. great revenge film.

  • Critics were wrong

This movie was very good. Why did it receive such a bad rating from the critics? This is a must see!!!
  • Entertaining

Very entertaining, well written (tho predictable), directed, performed, Garner is superb - but I’m guessing that the title doomed this film. An action thriller called ‘Peppermint’ just Horrible.

Sadly I think b grade cinematic transitions and editing along with poor acting from the bad guys in the movie let down a great performance from Jennifer Garner. There seemed to be a lack of depth in the bad guys, I realize most where just body bag numbers but the main speaking line bad guys just didn’t make you want to hate them enough. I would have loved to have seen this filmed with Garner and the crew that did John Wick. In the end it’s a great rental to watch on the plane or bus.
