Didn’t feel this emotional about a movie in a very long time. Just wow!
  • Cheesy and uninteresting

I heard the hype for this movie, but resisted watching it for a few months because I didn't find the plot particularly compelling. Sure enough, there wasn't much substance to the plot, and what there was felt goofy and contrived. Lady Gaga was competent in her role, but her ascent to pop stardom was abrupt, while the mentorship of Americana-rock star Cooper never made much sense. A cap is tipped to the idea that Gaga has sold out, but that cap is quickly completely blown off and forgotten. Did anybody else wonder why somebody who played the kind of music Cooper's character plays would champion Gaga's cheesy pop? Wouldn't his fans hate her music? Maybe that's why they lacked chemistry throughout the film, which I wouldn't have expected after seeing their performance at the Grammys. By the end of this one, my fiancée and I were laughing at some of the things that happened, and we found ourselves wondering why it needed to be so long. As we fast-forwarded through the last song hoping there was something better on the other side, we also wondered why Cooper thought he needed to make yet another remake.

This film left me speechless. It was emotional and showed a lot vulnerability between the characters. Watched it 4 times in the theater when it came out and bought the movie. Bradley and Gaga did an amazing job. Plus the songs are even better❤️
  • One of the most heartbreaking love stories

I have mixed emotions about this movie. It’s so raw and heartbreaking and honest and pure... that you watch it & it feels so real. The story in this movie is one of those epic love stories that you rarely hear about & truly believe. This one, you don’t just believe. You FEEL it.

I purchased the movie thinking I would enjoy it and watch it again in the future with my lady friends. However, the language is so foul & rotten I was ashamed to be setting in the same room as my children & mother. I’m requesting my money back because I’ll never waste my time watching this again.
