  • Great show

Somebody get out the waaaambulance for these whiners about the ads.
  • It’s fine.

    By Fletch F. Fletch
The social commentary is very blunt and obvious which works well to speak to undemanding viewers. The effects are adequate. Where the show shines is the humor and the side characters. It is consistently pretty funny. It’s constantly compared to Star Trek Discovery, but Discovery is an entirely different and far more complex series so it’s not really a fair match up. That’s like comparing Aliens to Galaxy Quest (although neither show live up to either of those movies) both with very different strengths. As it is Orville is fine but not particularly memorable. I don’t think you’ll be seeing any horror films using a mask of the captain of the Orville for the killer.
  • Fantastic Show

It’s been over half a decade since there was a tv show that got me excited in anticipation for its next episode. Thank you for bringing back science fiction.
  • Stop giving bad ratings because of Fox. Please

    By TicketToRide
This show is great — beautifully written and acted. Funny, yet intriguing and exciting. Love the characters! Please write to FOX with your complaints and stop bringing the average of reviews down. When it gets cancelled it’ll be because of bad reviews.
  • No Adds Please

Fox, if you put in commercials we should not be paying for this.
  • Musical Score on Identity Pt. 1 excellent

    By Retrovirushunter
I'm enjoying this show a lot. It captures the geist and humor of the orginal Star Trek more than any of the next gens that followed it. Seth McFarlane turms out to be a pretty darn good Star Ship captain. I don't mind the short Fox Idents- it makes it feel like I'm sitting down to watch show on TV, which is a novelty as I haven't watched network TV in years. Bu the main reason I'm writing is to say that the musical score has been knowing and clever throughout, and really rises to the occasion on the most recent episode, Identy Pr. 1. It's movie-level music writing. And music makes a movie (try watching Out of Africa or Star Wars w/o the score). Well done that composer.
  • Show doesn't show up in my library

    By Jim B
Love the show, but...I ordered the whole season and look forward to Fridays. I received the message that I got a new episode but it isn't in my library nor on my Apple TV. Not impressed. Had to watch it on Hulu. Why am I spending on iTunes when you don't deliver.
  • Fox puts ads in the purchase.

Love the show. Hate the mandatory advertisements at the beginning and end of the show.
  • Weak Characters

    By Jeremy221
This is not a sci-fi, it’s a sitcom in a sci-fi universe. The corniness of the characters is becoming too much. The impression of competence is lacking. It seems that the cast doesn’t think the show will last as core but fringe characters are replaced on a constant basis. And usually with someone less suited for the role. The show is also a tad incompetent science and writing wise. I’m always left scratching my head when it tries to explain something because it is usually so poorly done. The writing staff need some serious help from those with a stronger grasp on science, leadership, the military and social issues. A Family Guy understanding of the world is not enough for sci-fi. You need a deeper grasp, and a vision for the future couldn’t hurt either. Everything covered is a hot button issue today.
  • Lots of fun! Great TNG look and feel.

Lots of fun! Great TNG look and feel. Getting much better as S2 progresses. Also, some excellent directing by Frakes and awesome music, which gives DISCO a run for it’s money.
